The morning after news broke of his secret guilty plea over his contacts with Russian agents, former Trump foreign-policy adviser George Papadopoulous, of course, came under attack on Twitter from his old boss. “Few people knew the young, low level volunteer named George, who has already proven to be a liar. Check the DEMS!” President Trump tweeted. Former Trump campaign official Michael Caputo went further—and lower—calling the 30-year-old, who the then-candidate touted to The Washington Post as an “excellent guy,” nothing more than “the coffee boy” who “he never heard of.” Papadopoulos is now cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators.
