On his way out the door to head to Hawaii and then China, President Trump said Friday that he does not “remember much” about meeting with former campaign aide George Papadopoulos, whose guilty plea last month was revealed Monday as part of a federal investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election. “It was a very unimportant meeting,” Trump told reporters. Court records show that Papadopoulos frequently communicated with senior campaign staff in an effort to secure connections between the campaign and the Kremlin.
