Joy Reid Takes Over the 7pm Time Slot on MSNBC

Congratulations to Joy Reid, who is now officially going to take over the old Hardball with Chris Matthews slot at 7pm. Her widely appreciated commentary and perspective launched her into prime time and will host a nightly news program on MSNBC. She will be one of the few Black women to anchor an evening news show.

The show will debut on July 20 and will be called ‘The ReidOut.’

Reid was currently hosting the weekend show ‘AM Joy,’ which began in 2016 and was named the top cable television show for African Americans during the weekend time slot.
