Kendrick Lamar Aims For Another Sweep
Fresh off his dominant performance at the 2025 Grammys, where “Not Like Us” captured both Record and Song of the Year, Kendrick Lamar enters Sunday’s ceremony as the clear frontrunner. His nine nominations include the top three categories: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year, marking the third time he’s earned simultaneous nominations across all three.
“Luther,” his chart-topping collaboration with SZA, competes for Record and Song of the Year, while GNX contends for Album of the Year. The recognition brings his career nomination total to 66, including 22 wins.
Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, and Carpenter Lead Charge
Lady Gaga scored seven nominations for her album MAYHEM, her highest total since receiving six back in 2010. She’s competing in all three major categories, putting her in position for a potential sweep alongside Lamar, Bad Bunny, and Carpenter.
Bad Bunny’s six nominations carry extra weight as the Super Bowl LX halftime performer heads into Sunday’s show. His album Debí Tirar Más Fotos earned Album of the Year consideration, while his single “DtMF” competes for both Record and Song of the Year. The nominations represent a breakthrough in the Recording Academy’s recognition of Latin music in all-genre categories.
Sabrina Carpenter’s follow-up album Man’s Best Friend also garnered six nominations, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year nods for her hit “Manchild.”
