California Wildfire Threatens 1,000 Homes

California’s Powerhouse wildfire grew overnight to 19,500 acres and now threatens around 1,000 homes. The fire has already destroyed six homes and damaged nine other buildings. Florida Sinkhole Swallows Man

A man swallowed by sinkhole under his bedroom in Florida is believed dead, authorities said early Friday, after monitoring equipment found no signs of life.
